BIOGRAPHICAL
SYNOPSIS
Richard F. Radocha,
M.D. has been in private practice as a member of the Gessler Clinic,
P.A., since 1987, specializing in plastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic
surgery.
Dr. Radocha graduated magna cum laude from West Virginia University
with a B.A. degree in Biology in 1975. He served as Vice President
of the Pre-Medical Honor Society, a member of Sphinx, Order of the
Grail, Beta Beta Beta, and varsity lettered in golf for four years,
serving as Captain and Outstanding Athlete in 1975. He received
his M.D. degree with honors in Surgery at Hahnemann University in
1979. Following prerequisite training in General Surgery at the
University of South Florida Affiliated Hospitals, 1979-1984, he
served as Christine Kleinert Fellow in Hand Surgery at the University
of Louisville Health Science Center in 1985. He completed training
in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Duke University Medical
Center from l984-1986.
Dr. Radocha decided
upon a career in Plastic Surgery early in his general surgery training.
His exposure to pediatric craniofacial surgery, burn reconstruction,
facial trauma and hand surgery stimulated and solidified his interest.
During plastic surgery training at Duke University, he was captivated
by rejuvenation procedures of the face, forehead, and eyelids, cosmetic
and reconstructive breast surgery, body contouring and liposuction.
Additionally, his reconstructive experience includes melanoma and
skin cancer surgery, repairing trauma, burns, and congenital problems
such as cleft lips and birthmarks, and all other aspects of reconstructive
surgery.
Dr.
Radocha is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and
the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the following

Dr. Radocha served
as an attending staff member in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
at the Winter Haven Hospital for ten years from 1987-1997. He is
an active staff member of the Bartow Memorial Hospital and a founding
member of the Winter Haven Ambulatory Surgery Center. He is an active
member of the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce, and past President
and board member of the American Cancer Society. He continues to
serve on numerous charitable organizations throughout the Central
Florida area. In his spare time, the doctor is a sports enthusiast.
He enjoys waterskiing, rollerblading, working out, and golfing.
